Design for a Cause

I think there is a "Save the Hyenas" organization somewhere, but I couldn't find it, so I just created this. Hyenas are one of my favorite animals, so I just had to draw something featuring them. That and my favorite complementary color combo is blue and orange. Hope you like it!

Color Assignment

Wheel and Hues
I love, love, love how this came out!  So glad I chose these designs.

Test
I got a 117. I think that's good? It made my eyes hurt after looking at the colors for a while, haha!

Rhythm Assignment

I chose to do the sense touch. I tried to do others, but it wasn't working out so well! I used an image of a Xenomorph (from Alien).
The first image is smooth. The second is gritty. The third is dry. And the fourth is wet.

As for the fifth image, I like alternating rhythm the best. It reminded of bubbly textures.

Balance Assignment

Part 1
I used a spoon, a fork, a bag clasp, a cheese cutter, a cabinet knob, a timer, and a huge diamond wine topper. It was all things that were in the first drawer I opened! I didn't really want to make a shape or design, since I find those to be boring (I think so at least). I found this to be more interesting, plus it made cool looking negative shapes!

Part 2
I tried the best I could with this one! So many little pieces! I tried to make it look balanced IN SOME WAY. I think it looks alright.

Emphasis and Focal Point Assignment

Contrast
You can see the contrast between the background and boats, since the boats are warm colors, while the background all cool colors, therefore emphasizing the boats and making them "pop-out".

Isolation

This lily flower is so much brighter than the murky water and dull pads that it pops out of the picture. It also has emphasis on contrast.

Placement

The placement is key with this piece. You can see that the trees are in front of the mountains, making the emphasis greater.

One Element
This picture is emphasized just around the planet. That's pretty much it!

Absence of focal point
As you can see, there really isn't a focal point to this. You have to appreciate it as a whole while it doesn't emphasize on one element.
